Finishing Tech 2001 to Jump Start Finishing Sector of the Automotive Industry
DETROIT, Sept. 24 Challenged with a scaled back auto industry with increased price and product concerns, the automotive products finishing industry is fighting back with the creation of a new conference, Finishing Tech 2001, to be held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Dearborn, Michigan, November 5-8, 2001. Organized by the Metal Finishing Suppliers' Association (MFSA) and the National Association of Metal Finishers (NAMF), Finishing Tech 2001 will bring two days of educational and informational sessions and exhibitors to the North American auto industry. Automotive plating company representatives as well as automotive design engineers, specifiers and management will attend a variety of sessions ranging from tools for automotive plating to an in-depth look at the current automotive industry climate. Dr. David Cole of the Center for Automotive Research and the Environmental Research Institute of Michigan will be the conference keynote speaker on Wednesday, November 7, 2001. Conference attendees also will be able to interact with more than 100 exhibitors involved in the automotive finishing industry.
