ThyssenKrupp USA Donates $1 Million to Relief Efforts

    TROY, Mich., Sept. 24 ThyssenKrupp USA, Inc., a holding
corporation for companies operating in the United States and owned by Germany-
based ThyssenKrupp AG, today announced a $1 million dollar contribution for
agencies providing relief efforts for victims of the terrorist attacks.
    The donation was announced by Siegfried Buschmann, President and CEO of
ThyssenKrupp USA, Inc.  The funds will be divided between The Salvation Army
Air Disaster NY/DC, New York Firefighters Disaster Relief Fund, The American
Red Cross and the New York State World Trade Center Relief Fund.
    Well known members of the ThyssenKrupp family in the U.S., include
automotive suppliers The Budd Company and Krupp Hoesch Automotive, both of
Troy, Michigan, Thyssen Inc., of Detroit, Giddings & Lewis of Fond du Lac,
Wis. and ThyssenKrupp Elevator Corp. of Whittier, Calif.
