NACE Will Take Place as Planned

Here is a letter from NACE:

Our hearts go out to everyone who has been touched by the tragic events of Sept. 11. We extend our greatest sympathies to the victims and their families and keep them close in our thoughts and prayers.

President Bush has encouraged a return to business to help the nation recover and demonstrate to the world our resilience, strength, spirit and unity. Although there have been reports about convention cancellations, NACE is committed to moving forward and will take place as planned from Nov. 29 to Dec. 2, 2001 in Las Vegas, NV.

Each year, NACE is the event for the world's collision repair industry. This year, NACE has continued this tradition by offering the largest educational program in the history of NACE. NACE is committed to offering the collision repair industry the best conference, educational programs and exposition ever.

As evidence of the collision industry's resolve to overcome this tragic event and move forward in our lives and businesses, NACE 2001 registration thus far is very strong. Based on a year-to-year comparison, as of this date, registrations are up more than 120 percent over last year's event in Orlando. This demonstrates the industry's drive and determination to not only recover, but to emerge stronger in the days and years to come.

This year, because of the events of Sept. 11, we expect NACE to play an even greater role in unifying the industry as we turn to our friends and colleagues for compassion, support and kindness.

Together, our American spirit will be strengthened and we will heal and prevail.
