Dressed to Win
Juan Pablo Montoya clothing line added to the BMW WilliamsF1 Team Collection
Hard on the heels of his debut Grand Prix win at Monza, Juan Pablo Montoya's
irrepressible and effervescent spirit will be captured in a range of new
garments designed to complement the 2001 BMW WilliamsF1 Team merchandise
collection.
The range, which expresses both the technology and hypnotic allure of Formula
1, as well as the return of both the BMW & WilliamsF1 to the fore of the
sport, already contains a varied spread of approximately 200 high-quality and
elegant merchandising lines
. The existing catalogue includes items ranging from leisure and technical
clothing, a children's range and a variety of racing-inspired gifts from
luggage to sunglasses, watches, bottle openers and filofaxes.
With the recent addition of a dedicated Ralf Schumacher line to the
Collection, the Juan Pablo Montoya garments will add an ever-wider appeal to
the army of Formula 1 fans around the world.
The range will carry a distinctive iconography, Juan Pablo's personal emblem,
which reflects at once his mischievous, free spirit but also his
uncompromising intent on the race track. Tinged with a Latin character to
reflect Juan Pablo's Colombian roots, the icon will appear across the 10
items in the Juan Pablo Montoya range.
"The icon is something very personal to me, and was created by one of my
closest friends to express my personality and my origins as a racing driver.
The intention was to create something fun, and I think it has worked," said
Juan Pablo.
Manufactured to the demanding standards set by BMW, the cotton drill t-shirts
are available in five sizes, styled in a contemporary fashion and drawing
heavily from a US sporting theme.
The Juan Pablo Montoya range will be on sale from September 26, 2001 and will
be available from BMW dealerships worldwide, the Pit Shop at
www.bmw.williamsf1.com, Action Performance at www.grandprixinc.com, or by
telephone order on +44 (0)870 870 6833.
