Asbury Autogroup Closes Acquisition

    STAMFORD, Conn.--Sept. 21, 2001--

    - Asbury Expands Presence into Virginia -
    - Acquires Luxury BMW and Porsche Dealership -

    Asbury Autogroup, one of the largest dealership groups in the United States, today completed the acquisition of Pegasus Motor Car Company in Charlottesville, VA., as announced on June 13.
    Under the terms of the agreement, the dealership will be part of Asbury Automotive Group North Carolina, dba Crown Companies.
