National Safety Council Pioneers Interactive Online Training

Itasca, Ill. - During the National Safety Council (NSC)*s Congress & Exposition in Atlanta Georgia, the NSC*s First Aid Institute will introduce a new concept in training as it rolls out two interactive online programs: Adult CPR Online and Standard First Aid Online.
The NSC is the first national organization to offer interactive online first aid training on the Internet. The programs are available to both business and the community. Participants simply log onto the website, complete the knowledge-based portion of the course online, and receive their final certification by completing brief skills testing at a local NSC training center.
*These programs represent a true innovation in the way we deliver training,* said First Aid Institute director Donna Siegfried. *In this streamlined approach, participants can have a stimulating, interactive learning experience online, and learn life-saving information and skills at their own pace. It can be done on their own time, and on their own schedule. It*s also the most affordable first aid training we*ve ever offered. And the training is as effective as our traditional, classroom-taught versions, since skills testing will still be done with certified trainers.*
Online course content covers all elements in the standard first aid and CPR courses, with a high degree of sophistication. Both courses include advanced graphics, clearly presented learning points, interactive animations, realistic sound effects, video clips and a variety of exercises. Participants learn a comprehensive knowledge base, while experiencing the sights and sounds of real emergency situations.
