Russian Imports Completes Corporate Reorganization
OCEANSIDE, Calif.--Sept. 20, 2001--Russian Imports.com (OTCBB:RSIM) announced today it has received regulatory and shareholder approval to change its name to KIK Technology International, Inc. The name change is effective immediately. An application has been filed with the NASD for a new trading symbol to reflect the new corporate name.In continuing its reorganization after the acquisition of KIK Technology, Inc. ("KTI") of Oceanside, CA, the Company also announced today the appointments of Mr. William Knooihuizen as President and Director, and Mr. Don Dean as Chairman, Corporate Secretary & Director. Also appointed to the Board of Directors is Mr. Kuldip Biad, while Mr. A. Rene Dervaes, Jr., former President of Russian Imports.com, will remain on the Board as a Director.
As President of KIK Technology Inc. for the past seven (7) years, William Knooihuizen has been intimately involved in every aspect of the Company's development as a leading provider of micro-cellular urethane products. Mr. Knooihuizen states, "I look forward to working with the new Board of Directors to continue the development of KIK Technology into a global force within the billion dollar urethane industry."
Currently, KTI's main product line is a series of micro-cellular urethane tires which are puncture and leak-proof, environmentally friendly and maintenance free. KIK tires ride like a traditional pneumatic tire but last much longer due to their tough micro-cellular urethane construction. Manufactured at the Company's Oceanside, CA production facility, KIK tires can be designed and molded to virtually any tread specification.
Since its inception in 1987, KTI has marketed its products internationally both directly and through strategic partners and distributors. The Company's immediate focus is the continued penetration of the wheelchair and mobility scooter tire business, particularly at the OEM and (after market) retail levels.
