GLENDORA, Calif. -- To provide support for last week's victims of the terrorist attacks in New York, Washington, D.C. and Pennsylvania, the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) has announced it will donate 50 percent of all its souvenir revenues from this weekend's 14th annual AutoZone Nationals, in Memphis, Tenn., to the American National Red Cross.

"NHRA wants to do its part to help those that have suffered from the horrific tragedies of last week," said Tom Compton, president, NHRA. "We urge others within the drag racing community to consider ways, as they see fit, to help support our fellow Americans in this time of need."

In addition, NHRA has planned a special pre-race ceremony for Sunday, September 23 prior to the beginning of the weekend's elimination rounds that is scheduled to be aired during the national event broadcast on ESPN2.
