Industry Leader Richard V. Pradetto Joins Mii Technologies

WEST LEBANON, N.H.--Sept. 18, 2001--Mii Technologies, LLC., a technology leader in making net-shape parts using metal, ceramic and plastic powders, announced today that Richard V. Pradetto is joining the company as a strategic consultant. At the same time, Mr. Pradetto is making an investment in the privately-held company.
Mr. Pradetto, who brings a long history of experience in the manufacturing systems industry, will focus on strengthening Mii's marketing and sales operations for press technology in the United States and abroad. Mr. Pradetto spent 29 years with Cincinnati Incorporated, a major manufacturer of powder-metal presses. He served in a series of senior management roles, operating in the North American, European and Pacific Rim markets. He left Cincinnati in 1998 as Executive Vice President.
"Dick's knowledge about the marketing and sales of powder press systems and his personal relationships with leading customers in these markets are unparalleled. This knowledge will be leveraged by his confidence in the capability of Mii press technology," said Glenn Beane, President and COO of Mii. "We're thrilled to have someone with Dick's vast experience and contacts on the Mii team. His guidance, industry understanding and contacts will enable us to accelerate our growth here and abroad."
"I've been very impressed by the ability of the Mii technology to improve the design envelope, cost and overall manufacturing efficiency of any industrial process that utilizes pressing as a key forming technology, whether for metal, ceramic or plastic powders," said Mr. Pradetto. "I think demand for this technology will be very strong worldwide and I'm looking forward to being part and parcel of making it a success."
