ADESA Canada Promotions Announced

TORONTO--Sept. 17, 2001--Dale Hewitt has been named president of ADESA Canada. Hewitt replaces Brian J. Warner, who was named president of Indianapolis-based ADESA Corporation last week. Warner has served as president of ADESA Canada since 1998. The management change will take effect on October 1.
Hewitt, a 30-year auction veteran, has been employed with ADESA Canada since 1999, and was appointed chief operating officer of ADESA Canada in January 2001. Before serving as chief operating officer, Hewitt was the western regional manager and general manager of ADESA Vancouver.
"Dale has been instrumental to the integration process following ADESA's acquisition of the Canadian Auction Group in June of 2000," said Brian Warner, president of ADESA Corporation. "He is a natural leader and has represented the ADESA core values well."
Stephane St. Hilaire will replace Hewitt as chief operating officer. St. Hilaire joined ADESA Canada in 1998 as chief financial officer. He was later appointed general manager of ADESA Montreal, Canada's largest auto auction. St. Hilaire also assumed the additional responsibility of regional manager.
"Stephane has a proven track record on building great teams," said Warner. "He went to Montreal and made one of our best auctions better. We anticipate similar success as he assumes the national responsibility for the day-to-day auction operations of ADESA Canada."
In addition to the executive promotions of Warner, Hewitt and St. Hilaire, ADESA Canada announced additional related moves that will also take effect on October 1.
Benjamin Skuy has been appointed Ontario regional manager, overseeing ADESA Toronto, Kitchener and Ottawa. Skuy is also ADESA Canada's chief financial officer, and will serve in a dual role.
Mary Jayne Tome has been appointed Atlantic regional manager and general manager of ADESA Halifax. Tome has served as the company's director of human resources since 1998.
Sheryl Watson, the company's general counsel, will serve as general counsel and director of human resources. Watson joined ADESA Canada after the acquisition of Canadian Auctions Group in 2000.
Ghislain Lapointe, the present assistant general manager of ADESA Montreal, will become the general manager. Lapointe has been employed with ADESA Montreal since 1988 serving in various positions.
Michel Perras will become the assistant general manager of ADESA Montreal. Perras has served as controller of ADESA Montreal since 1999.
Louise Cousin has been appointed Controller of ADESA Montreal. Cousin has served as the Assistant Controller of ADESA Montreal since 1999.
Lou Antonini has been appointed general manager of ADESA Calgary. He has served as controller of ADESA Calgary since 1995.
