    PLYMOUTH, Mich., Sept. 17 Metaldyne announced today that
Scott Ferriman has been appointed vice president and senior executive,
Metaldyne Commercial and Tubular.  Chuck Pestow, vice president of sales and
marketing, made the announcement.

    "I am pleased to announce Scott's new assignment with the Metaldyne Sales
and Marketing team," Pestow said.  "His sales background and experience with
Tubular Products and commercial medium and heavy truck markets will be a great
asset as we seek to create value for our customers by providing innovative
vehicle components and modules."
    In this role, Ferriman will oversee major accounts including International
Truck and Engine Corp., American Axle Manufacturing, Cummins, Caterpillar,
Detroit Diesel Corporation, Deere and Mack Trucks.  He will also continue his
responsibilities as vice president, sales and marketing, Metaldyne Tubular
Products.
    Prior to his career at Metaldyne, he held various sales and marketing
positions at Delco Remy and Allied Signal.
    Ferriman holds a bachelor's degree from Bowling Green State University and
a master's degree in business administration from the University of Detroit.
    Ferriman will be based at Metaldyne Tubular Products in Canton, Mich.  He
resides in Northville, Mich.
