Jevic Transportation Hauling Needed Supplies for World Trade Center Relief Effort

Philadelphia Area Transportation Company to Support Salvation Army In
    Operation-Brotherly Love And Other Assistance Efforts

    Jevic Transportation, Inc. is providing transportation services to the Salvation Army, Eastern Pennsylvania and Delaware Division, in support of its effort to bring much needed supplies and emergency equipment to New York City's World Trade Center relief effort.
    Jevic trucks will begin transporting material collected by the Salvation Army beginning Friday, September 14, 2001 at the Operation-Brotherly Love drop-off site at 5th and Market Streets in Philadelphia, as well other locations. The company will offer assistance throughout this time of need and will continue to offer services to the Salvation Army on an as needed basis.
    Operation - Brotherly Love is a relief effort to collect desperately needed supplies for relief workers at the World Trade Center disaster. The Salvation Army has teamed up with KYW-3, UPN 57, and Infinity Radio Stations for the campaign.
    "The terrible events of this week have affected all of us deeply," said Peter Robinson, Jevic spokesperson. "Our team of Philadelphia-area based drivers and operation personnel wanted to help out with relief efforts. Teaming up with the Salvation Army is a way we can help make an immediate and meaningful impact on relief efforts. In this dire time, it's simply the right thing to do."
    In addition to helping its customers get back on track with their transporting needs following this crisis, Jevic is also providing assistance to its customers with their relief outreach efforts.
    The Salvation Army was founded 135 years ago as a religious and social services organization. Since that time, the organization has taken a holistic approach to working with people, addressing their physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual needs. The Salvation Army provides community supportive services, residential shelters, foster care, developmental disabilities programs, correctional services programs, child development centers, after-school care and Corps Community Centers.

Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19123. This also includes a letter writing campaign. People can log onto www.salvationarmyphiladelphia.org to compose letters to disaster relief workers.
