Johnson Controls Commits $1 Million to Relief Effort
MILWAUKEE, Wis., Sept. 14 Johnson Controls today announced that it will donate $1 million to the American Red Cross to support U.S. disaster relief efforts. Johnson Controls Chairman and Chief Executive Officer James H. Keyes said "Out of respect to our customers in New York and Washington D.C., their families and friends, as well as the families and friends of our employees, suppliers and business associates, we are honored to help. Johnson Controls employees worldwide join me in extending our deepest sympathy and prayers." Johnson Controls is a global market leader in automotive systems and facility management and control. In the automotive market, it is a major supplier of seating and interior systems, and batteries. For nonresidential facilities, Johnson Controls provides building control systems and services, energy management and integrated facility management. Johnson Controls , founded in 1885, has headquarters in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Its sales for 2000 totaled $17.2 billion.
