    FRANKFURT, Germany, Sept. 14 ArvinMeritor Inc.
announced that its Exhaust Systems business has formed a strategic alliance
with Sejong Industrial Company Ltd. to supply complete exhaust systems to the
leading Korean original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).

    Together, the two companies will develop and supply exhaust systems and
components for Korean OEMs, Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Motor Company, in
North America and Korea.  The agreement also allows ArvinMeritor and Sejong
Industrial to partner on exhaust projects in other countries.
    Sejong Industrial, the largest exhaust systems manufacturer in Korea, and
ArvinMeritor, one of the largest exhaust systems manufacturer in the world,
agreed to partner due to their leading industry positions.  ArvinMeritor
Exhaust Systems brings a wealth of experience in research and development,
engineering and manufacturing techniques.  This expertise will help secure the
success of the alliance.

supplies full-system solutions to its global customers in 17 countries on five
