CTS Corporation Announces Communications Component Products Business Development Center in Taiwan

    ELKHART, Ind.--Sept. 14, 2001--CTS Corporation today announced a plan to establish a Business Development Center for its communications component products in Taiwan. The Center will include the business activities of marketing, sales, field applications and product design engineering, and will allow CTS to better serve the rapidly expanding customer base for its products in Taiwan with custom designs and design support. The new Business Center, which is expected to be located in the Chung-Li area, will expand upon the engineering capabilities and resources currently located in CTS' Chung-Li Wireless Components operation.
    "By establishing the Business Development Center in this area, and providing customer access to our unique product design skills, we will not only enhance our present customer relationships, but also build new relationships with the ever-increasing designers and manufacturers within the wireless communication industry in Taiwan," commented Donald R.     Earlier this year, the Company announced plans to consolidate most of its communications components manufacturing operations into Singapore and Tianjin, China. These production centers will be supported by Product Design Centers in the U.S. and Asia, along with Business Development Centers located in regions with high concentration of communications products OEMs and design houses in North America, Europe, Finland, Japan, Korea and Singapore.
