ACSYS Technologies Launches Automotive Component Business

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Sept. 13 ACSYS Technologies, Inc. today
acquired the assets of Peregrine Oshawa, Inc. and launched a new automotive
supply business committed to providing high quality exterior fascia modules
and plastics, and steel component systems to the automotive market.

Headquartered in Southfield, Michigan, ACSYS employs a workforce of more
than 1,400 and has a 1.6-million square-foot manufacturing operation in
Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. The Southfield office houses administrative, design,
engineering, program management and sales activities.

ACSYS Chairman and majority stockholder B.N. Bahadur says, "The
acquisition of the Oshawa facility offers us an opportunity to be a
significant supplier of major body systems.

"Strategically, our product and technology synergies give us the
capability to provide our customers with high content modules and components.
And, having nine OEM assembly plants within a 100-mile radius of Oshawa gives
us a unique geographic advantage," he says. "We also have in place an
experienced management team dedicated to improving Oshawa's technology,
quality, delivery and costs."

Bahadur, a Michigan-based entrepreneur, has an interest in a variety of
businesses. He is founder and chief executive officer of BBK, Ltd.; chairman
of Vehicle Lighting, Inc.; a principal in Citation Tool, and chairman and
chief executive officer of Rotor Coaters International. ACSYS Technologies
will operate as a certified minority-owned business.

ACSYS President and Chief Executive Officer Dennis E. Hiller said, "We are
launching our new company with a clear vision for success, a firm commitment
from our ownership and a solid foundation on which to build a dynamic and
exciting future."

Hiller, an automotive executive with more than 26 years experience, is
also the president and chief executive officer of Guide Corporation.

In addition to Hiller, the ACSYS executive leadership team includes Sergus
R. Thomas, the company's chief financial officer, and Alan Russell, who is
chief operating officer. Joseph E. Ruffolo directs human resources, and
Robert A. Smart, Jr. sales, marketing and engineering. Philip L. Fioravante
has responsibility for market development and advanced sales with new
customers. (Individual profiles attached.)

A key element in the success of the transaction was the ratification of a
new labor contract negotiated between ACSYS and the Canadian Auto Workers
(CAW) union.

"I'm extremely encouraged by the union's confidence in and endorsement of
our vision and plan for ACSYS Technologies," Hiller said. "The CAW's
participation and continued support is essential to our future success."

Hiller says the new company's core competencies and product capabilities
are designed to take advantage of the trend among OEMs that encourages early
Tier 1 involvement in the product development cycle. ACSYS's fascia module
assemblies, which combine trim, lighting, energy absorbers and other
components, will be shipped in color sequence, just-in-time, to auto assembly
plants. Another of ACSYS's major product lines, metal stampings, will be
combined with other components to create major body assembly modules and also
supplied on a just-in-time basis.

Additionally, the company produces exterior plastics including body side
moldings, rocker panels and cladding, as well as a variety of functional
plastic components.

Hiller said, "Our sales and engineering organization is already pursuing
opportunities with a number of automotive companies and Tier 1s with the goal
of developing ACSYS into one of the industry's premier suppliers."

The ability to produce sophisticated plastic componentry, and manufacture
large metal stampings and sub-systems, positions ACSYS Technologies as an
integrator of major body and trim systems. The company can design and
engineer a vehicle front end that includes the fascia modules it produces,
structural components, bumper beams and primary lighting.

"This capability has the potential to offer great value to our customers,"
Bahadur said. "That's why we created ACSYS Technologies, and that's why we're
excited about its future."
