Fleetwood Enterprises, Inc., Announces Senior Management
Changes
RIVERSIDE, Calif., Sept. 13 Fleetwood Enterprises, Inc.
, the nation's largest manufacturer of recreational vehicles and a
leading producer and retailer of manufactured housing, announced today that
Chuck Wilkinson has been named executive vice president - operations of the
Company. In this expanded role he will be responsible for Fleetwood's
wholesale and retail manufactured Housing operations and its Recreational
Vehicle Group, as well as its supply subsidiaries.
In a related move, Carl Betcher, who had served as senior vice president
of the Company's RV group, has stepped down.
"Chuck has done an exceptional job during an extremely difficult time in
the manufactured housing industry," said Nelson W. Potter, president and CEO.
"Under his leadership our manufactured housing group has continued to perform
profitably and our retail housing division has quickly realized improved
results. We believe that Chuck possesses the energy, experience and
leadership qualities to guide the financial and operational improvement of our
RV group.
"Carl has made significant contributions to the Company over the past
28 years in both our Housing and RV businesses," Potter continued. "We wish
him the best in his future career endeavors."
Wilkinson has served as senior vice president - housing group since
January 2000. Before that, he had served as the Company's vice president -
Western region for the Housing Group. Altogether, he has 32 years of
experience in operations, including 16 years with Fleetwood.
