Build-To-Order Opens Headquarters in Southern California
Relocation to the IMAX Studios Demonstrates Company Commitment to Automotive Innovation and Design SANTA MONICA, Calif., Sept. 11 Build-To-Order, Inc. (BTO), announced today the relocation of its corporate headquarters to the IMAX facility in Santa Monica, Calif., becoming the latest automotive manufacturer to make the move to Southern California. "Southern California has such a car-centric culture it's no surprise that we, like other automotive manufacturers, would want to locate here," said BTO Chairman Scott Painter. "As a next-generation car company, we wanted an environment that was not only creative and innovative, but where trend-setters and image makers converge. This Santa Monica location fulfilled all our requirements." An additional advantage to the facility is the availability of on-site state-of-the-art technology. BTO employees have access to several IMAX resources, including 3 full-screen theatres for business presentations and events. The striking, contemporary building boasts 66,000 square feet and was designed by renowned architectural firm HLW International. BTO, formerly based in Fremont, Calif., joins the Ford Motor Company, DaimlerChrysler and General Motors, all of which recently have moved design and corporate offices to Southern California. Nissan, Toyota and Honda have had a strong presence in Southern California for many years. About Build-To-Order Build-To-Order, Inc.
