Whistler Creates Fuel Cell/Alternative Power Advisory Board

    SAN DIEGO--Sept. 11, 2001--The Advisory Board will assist the Board of Directors and Management of the Company in developing and executing the long-term goals of the company.In addition, the board will review financial objectives, major strategies and plans, major corporate actions of Whistler, recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding Company direction, focus, and assistance in selecting senior management and staff.
    The first member of the board is Nicholas Fletcher.Mr. Fletcher is a Cambridge University graduate in Mechanical Sciences.As an electro-mechanical product development engineer, he has spent the last 10 years in fuel cell research and development and fuel cell automotive applications.From 1990- 1997, he worked on the development of the Ballard fuel cell, and as program manager on Ford/Ballard P2000 prototype fuel cell car program.From 1997-2000 he was manager of Systems Engineering on the Phase 4 Transit Bus program.He was also Xcellsis program manager for the P2000 program, and provided support for Xcellsis California pilot engineering.
    He is joined by Ted Kozub who is a Certified Management Accountant and has had extensive experience in the oil industry, with the federal government in taxation and as a tax partner with the accounting firm KPMG. Mr. Kozub brings to the board a wealth of experience in financial management and taxation.
    Also joining the Advisory Board is Yale Hirsch, best known as the founder and editor of the Stock Trader's Almanac, now in its thirty-fifth annual edition, in Old Tappan NJ.Sales for the 2001 edition were over 70,000. Prior sales have been over a million copies. He is both a stock market historian and stock analyst. In June 1973 Hirsch began publishing the investment newsletter Smart Money.He achieved uncanny accuracy with the October 1974 issue of Smart Money. Its front page headline stating "Buy! Buy! Buy!" was mailed on the exact bottom day of the market.
    Mr. Hirsch has appeared on Wall $treet Week, Cable News Network, CNBC, Bloomberg, and Fox News.He has written a number of financial columns and is widely quoted in major newspapers and financial publications.
    As an avid supporter of solar energy since the late 1970s, Hirsch has always followed the progress of the new energy technologies. Since 2000 he has been a business consultant to three companies in the alternate energy field, specializing in fuel cells, solar thermal, photovoltaics and wind energy.
