Chevrolet And AMOR Make Wish Come True For Aspiring Miami Singer Exciting Performances and Community Goodwill Planned for Miami Music Lovers

Miami, FL - Meeting a music idol is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for most people, but not for 15 year-old Priscilla Batista of Miami. Two years ago, Priscilla - already an accomplished singer- met Emilio Estefan in the Estefans' private studio where she recorded her very own CD. But her good fortune didn't stop there. Priscilla and her family will also enjoy a very special evening on September 9 at the AMOR A LA MUSICA concert presented by Miami's AMOR 107.5 FM and Chevrolet.

Recent controversy surrounding the Latin Grammy Awards has not stopped AMOR A LA MUSICA from bringing the hottest Latin artists to the Miami Arena stage. Performers include Carlos Vives, Jose Luis Paralez, Lucia Mendez, Willy Chirino, Pablo Montero, Los Tri-o, Luis Fonsi, Emmanuelle, Gisselle, Lissette, Lucia Mendez, Shalim, Jon Secada, Melina Leon and Ednita Nazario and Celia Cruz.

Comfortably chauffeured in a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer, Priscilla and her family of four will dine at Bongo's restaurant compliments of Chevrolet, then arrive with other VIPs at the concert. Priscilla and her party will be front and center as Gloria Estefan receives a Lifetime Achievement Award. She's also scheduled to meet several of the performers that evening. "As a singer, I am inspired by all these great artists," said Priscilla. "This will be a night I won't forget."

Priscilla's wish to record her own CD and her evening at AMOR A LA MUSCIA are made possible through the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. It is the largest wish-granting charity in the world, with 81 chapters in the United States and its territories and 20 international affiliates spanning five continents.

General Motors and GM Dealers have been active in their support of the Make-A-Wish Foundation all across America. The UAW-GM/General Motors multi-year national sponsorship of the Make-A-Wish Foundation is the largest single commitment by any sponsor in the Foundation's history. The Make-A-Wish Foundation recently celebrated 20 years of granting wishes to more than 80,000 children worldwide.

Chevrolet and its sister General Motors divisions are a constant presence in the Hispanic community, actively supporting events like Hispanic Heritage Month and Carnaval Miami. Sponsoring the pre-Latin Grammys concert was very appealing to the automaker. "Chevrolet continues to build on our long-standing relationship with the Hispanic Community," said Steve Betz, Regional Marketing Manager, Chevrolet. "The caliber of the AMOR A LA MUSICA concert fits perfectly with our efforts to connect with this important market and build brand loyalty."
