Alabama's First Site Selection Venture Formed - World Business Advisors, LLC

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--Sept. 10, 2001--Billy Joe Camp and Michael Johnson have formed a new site selection company to serve the Southeast region of the United States. World Business Advisors, LLC, provides comprehensive site selection services to new and relocating industries, industrial market analysis, and economic assessment and development for localities.
    Johnston Barton Proctor & Powell, LLP, a 75 year old law firm, has been the driving force in forming the new venture and recruiting Camp and Johnson. The firm has broad experience in business law serving clients nationally as well as throughout the Southeast. Johnston Barton Proctor & Powell is based in Birmingham.

    In 1993 to 1995, as Director of the Alabama Development Office, Camp led more businesses to locate or expand in Alabama during this 20-month period than in any five-year period of the state's history. One of his most cited accomplishments was spearheading the recruitment of the Mercedes-Benz M-Class plant, its first automotive assembly plant outside of Germany.
    Michael Johnson has ten years of experience as an economic developer specializing in industrial recruitment and international trade, both as an attorney and in private industry in the United States, Europe and Latin America. Johnson holds the post of Honorary Consul of Brazil for Alabama and speaks French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Italian and Catalan.
