Viasystems Group, Inc. Announces New CFO

    ST. LOUIS--Sept. 7, 2001--Viasystems Group, Inc. today announced that Joseph S. Catanzaro has been named Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately. Catanzaro replaces James G. Powers, who has accepted a similar position with another company.
    Catanzaro has held senior positions with Viasystems since October 1998, and most recently served as Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief Accounting Officer. Prior to joining Viasystems, Catanzaro was Vice President of Finance for Berg Electronics from April 1993 to October 1998.
