Lear Corporation Announces Key Executive Changes

    SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Sept. 7 Lear Corporation
today announced key appointments involving three of its top executives in an
ongoing effort to fully leverage Lear's global scope and build upon the
company's firm commitment to improving customer satisfaction and shareholder
returns.

    Douglas G. DelGrosso, Senior Vice President - Product Focus Group, has
been named Executive Vice President - International Operations, with
responsibility for all of Lear's activities in Europe, Asia and Africa.
DelGrosso will relocate to Europe and will focus on increasing Lear's presence
overseas.

    Donald Stebbins, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, has
been named Executive Vice President - North and South America, taking an
expanded role in the day-to-day management of the company with his new
responsibilities for all of Lear's activities in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and
South America.
 
   James Vandenberghe, Vice Chairman, will be responsible for all of Lear's
corporate administrative activities, including financial matters as chief
financial officer.
