S&P Asgns CBTC Goodyear Tire & Rubber Ser 2001-34 Rtg

    NEW YORK--Standard & Poor's--Sept. 6, 2001--Standard & Poor's today assigned its triple-'B' rating to $21,875,000 class A-1 8.00% corporate-backed trust certificates series 2001-34 issued by Corporate Backed Trust Certificates Goodyear Tire & Rubber Note-Backed Series 2001-34 Trust.
    The rating reflects the credit quality of the underlying securities, $25 million 7.00% notes due March 15, 2028 (triple-'B'), issued by Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., and addresses the likelihood of the trust making payments as required under the trust agreement.
