Auteo Media Announces Expansion of its Southern California Operations; Company Anticipating Additional Profitability from its California Growth

SEATTLE--Sept. 6, 2001--Auteo Media, Inc. (OTCBB:AUTM), a leading provider of communication and development solutions for the automotive industry, announced today that due to its market success in the northern California automotive arena they completed an expansion in their sales and marketing organization in the Los Angeles automotive arena.
The California Dealer Specialties business unit, a geographical expansion of Auteo Media's highly successful Northwest Dealer Specialties unit based in Washington State, provides data collection, digital photography, point-of-purchase marketing and Internet exposure for hundreds of new and used car dealerships and is the largest such operation on the west coast.
"The expansion is due to increased profitability in our Northern California market and the immense opportunity existing in the Southern California market," said Steve Van Leeuwen, Chairman and CEO. "We estimate that we have achieved a 40% share of the San Francisco new car market in a little over one year. If we can have the same success in the world's largest car market we estimate we can bring an additional $0.03 to $.05 per share to our bottom line," stated Van Leeuwen.
Through the program, trained Account Specialists visit dealerships on a weekly basis. Specialists record details of individual cars, take a digital picture, print point-of-purchase window labels, and then place the vehicles onto top Web auto sites including Yahoo, America Online, and Microsoft's CarPoint on behalf of the dealership.
"California is a large market, at least six times as large as Washington in respect to the number of new and used car dealerships," stated Joshua Nichols, California Operations Manager. "The opportunities for greater and greater growth in the future appear excellent."
The Company has successfully hired and trained a sales team, working in tandem with its operations arm in the Southern California market, replicating and expanding upon its successful Northern California marketing program. "The beauty of this expansion is that as we bring on more dealerships with our data collection business unit we create new customers for our Customer Relationship Management system, ContactAuto(TM) and our other electronic management tools," Van Leeuwen concluded.

Auteo Media, Inc., is a recognized pioneer and innovator in the automotive information industry, offering powerful solutions based on a suite of e-business systems including digital data collection services, customer relationship management (CRM) applications, Web site development and hosting, and e-commerce applications tools.
