voice-based operation of advanced telematics services is the product of an
application partnership between Sensoria Corporation, a leader in wireless

DEMOmobile 2001 in La Jolla, Calif.
    Fonix has provided its voice solutions and technologies -- Text-To-Speech
(TTS) and Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) -- to be deployed in the Sensoria
Telematics Environment, a standards-based telematics platform that enables the
next generation of telematics services in vehicles.
    The Sensoria Telematics Environment hosts Fonix TTS and ASR applications
in the car to support voice-based interfaces to advanced services using the
car's audio system and integrated microphone.  These on-board processing
technologies make delivering navigation, weather, directory and other services
with text content economical over wireless data links.
