Leading Automakers to Discuss Logistics Industry Future at Autologistics2001
DEARBORN, Mich., Sept. 5 Autologistics2001, a two-day gathering of the world automotive industry's leading logistics experts, will explore the latest measures employed by vehicle manufacturers and their suppliers as they work together to manage material and product flow. The field of logistics is taking a more significant role as the automotive industry works to increase productivity and faster product time-to-market. "At our inaugural event in Chicago last year, we heard first-hand from the vehicle manufacturers about the quality of their supply base and their approach to their operations," said Andrew Lewis Yiakoumi, publisher of Automotive Logistics, which sponsors the event.
