John F. Donnelly Named Senior Vice President of Donnelly Corporation's Global Customer Business

    HOLLAND, Mich., Sept. 5 Donnelly Corporation
today announced that John F. Donnelly has been named senior vice president of
the Company's Global Customer Business Unit.

    In this position, Donnelly will be responsible for coordinating customer
activity in North America, Europe, South America and Asia.
    "Donnelly is implementing a global approach in all of its sales and
manufacturing activities," said Dwane Baumgardner, chairman and chief
executive officer.  "John has a vast amount of expertise in both manufacturing
and sales, and he has spent the past several years heading Donnelly's European
operations.  In this new role, we will be able to leverage John's knowledge
and experience to expand sales and align customer activity worldwide.  He
returns to the U.S. in his new role after the successful completion of his
assignment as chief operating officer of Donnelly's operations in Europe."
    Donnelly has been employed at Donnelly Corporation since 1977, most
recently as the chief operations officer of the Company's European operations,
based in Dorfprozelten, Germany.  Throughout his career at Donnelly, he has
also headed the Company's Corporate Business Development and Marketing, the
Modular Window Systems Group, the Rearvision Systems Group and Automotive
Systems.  He has also worked in various engineering and manufacturing
management positions.
    Donnelly has a bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of
Michigan and a Master of Science in Management from the Sloan School, M.I.T.
He is the past President of the Board of Trustees for the Black River Public
School and the past President of the Holland Boys and Girls Club.
