    Press Attendance Policies
    At its April 12, 2000 meeting, SSCI's Executive Committee adapted a policy allowing press attendance with the following stipulations: 1) no quotes are to be attributed to a single individual or company unless approved of by that person or company before publication; 2) if absolutely necessary, product divisions can restrict access to their product sessions as long as the information presented is provided to the press by a release, approved by SSCI and 3) SSCI will contact editors directly to claim the reporting policies set forth by the Institute for anyone violating the first provision will cause himself and the publication to be barred from attending future Forecast Conferences. SSCI's Flat Rolled Division Council restricts access to its Carbon Flat Rolled breakout session. However, immediately following the session, a press release will be issued and media representatives will be invited to approach the presenters at that time or any time thereafter.
