Parts.com Releases TradeMotion 3.9;

    SANFORD, Fla., Sept. 5 Parts.com, Inc. , a marketplace and software solutions provider
for the auto parts industry, today announced the release of its TradeMotion
3.9 software which includes an updated web-enabled parts catalog, accessory
catalog features and a keyword search.

The new TradeMotion 3.9 release features more than 358,000 new collision parts, 209,000 new mechanical parts and more than 2,800 new illustrations, bringing the total web-enabled OEM parts catalog unique part numbers to 5,518,436. TradeMotion 3.9 also includes a new accessory catalog, which allows any dealership utilizing TradeMotion Storefront the ability to add unlimited catalogs to their Storefront. This feature also allows any Storefront to sell any type of product, including an accessory catalog part tie-in with an OEM cross-reference part number. Dealerships can make any accessory part a "special item" and display it on their main Storefront catalog page, while uploading images for each part. This release's functional enhancements focused primarily on TradeMotion's SupplyChain(TM), StoreFront(TM), and OCTANE(TM) products with some features extending into TradeMotion RAPTOR (released recently on August 7th) allowing repair facilities to see and choose trading partners such as local dealerships and Keystone Warehouses.

Parts.com also redesigned and improved TradeMotion OCTANE's (TradeMotion's Order Management System) graphical interface for ease of use after receiving input from its dealer partners. A new keyword search function was added to the TradeMotion Storefronts, which allows consumers or businesses to search for parts by name. Parts.com also updated TradeMotion Storefronts to give dealerships the ability to change individual prices on mechanical and collision parts. The new and improved user interface for Storefronts, built- in features and accessory catalogs are just a few of the enhancements. All Storefront administration functions are now included in OCTANE, allowing Storefront owners to administer their Storefronts and account information from the same web site as all other administrative functions.

"TradeMotion 3.9 immediately impacts the large dealer base using TradeMotion StoreFront(TM) with the ability to support unlimited catalogs, complete administration in TradeMotion OCTANE, and display specials and pricing incentives to trading partners," stated Shawn D. Lucas, President and CEO. "TradeMotion 3.9 was a necessary step in our development cycle as our dealer partners and new insurance initiatives dictate the most accurate OEM parts catalog, with the ability to change individual pricing on specific parts for both mechanical and collision. We are continuing our development and investment in TradeMotion 4.0 which will allow other verticals to leverage our new ASP application for many logistics and commerce strategies here domestically as well as in Europe with multi-languages and multi-currency support," concluded Mr. Lucas.

Many of OCTANE's end users will see a set of new catalog content creation and maintenance tools. They will also see a re-tooling and expanding of OCTANE's existing features to allow complete control over internal agents (employees of supplier) and members' accounts with nested permission levels. Item prices may now be edited at the part level while still maintaining multiple pricing profiles for each individual account. The OCTANE system allows suppliers to maintain and change every aspect in the look, feel and content organization in the StoreFront product and allow suppliers to collect payments directly from customers and trading partners with purchase order support.

TradeMotion's SupplyChain end users will have flexibility in searching, organization, workflow and business rules for centralized, regional and local logistics models accommodating traditional 2 step and 3 step and custom geographic distribution. SupplyChain's CRM tool tracks payment and creates an audit trail with robust reporting features. Multiple payment methods are supported within the businesses distribution locations. The locations can either be viewed or be transparent to buyer. SupplyChain(TM) is where all business logic and rules are stored and applied per visit. Each account has a Buying Agreement that stores member's (buyer's) information in a profile that allow SupplyChain to understand the relationship between buyer and supplier such as: pricing matrix, content, catalog filters, language, currency, advertising and accounting status.
