Earlier in the year, the state of Virginia was not very kind to Willy T. Ribbs when he missed the fourth race of the year at Martinsville, Virginia. Ribbs is hoping that his luck and experence improves at Richmond.

“I hope we have a little better trip to Virginia this time around than we did earlier in the year,” said Ribbs.

Truck Points: The No. 8 Bobby Hamilton Racing Dodge Motorsports Team is in one of many points battles as the season begins to wind down. They are in a tight battle to remain in the top 20 in NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series owner's points. Currently, the team is 21st in the standings, a mere two points behind the No. 72 MacDonald Motorsports Chevrolet.

Rookie Points: Ribbs and the No. 8 Dodge Motorsports Team hit the century mark in rookie points at 100 points after 18 events. This helped Ribbs move into fifth place in the Rookie of the Year standings, just past Nathan Haseleu.

This Week's Truck: The No. 8 Dodge Motorsports Team will be racing “King” at the Richmond International Raceway.

With many teams arriving in Richmond for a one-race deal with either a Winston Cup driver or a past Truck Series winner, it became an easy choice for Bobby Hamilton to make the Kroger 200 one of his races for Dana Corporation.

Every year, Hamilton is required to make five starts in the No. 4 Dana Dodge. At one point he was thinking of running Phoenix, the site of the first Winston Cup Series win, but with so many great drivers coming out for this event, he reconsidered.
