Infiniti Reports August Sales

    GARDENA, Calif., Sept. 4 Infiniti, the luxury division of
Nissan North America, Inc. today reported August sales of 6,170 units.
   
 Sales for Infiniti's flagship Q45 luxury performance sedan, completely
redesigned for the 2002 model year, are up 30.9 percent versus last year with
sales of 474 units.
    
Leading the division was the I30 luxury sedan with sales of 2,785 units
while the QX4 luxury sport utility vehicle posted sales of 1,799 units.
   
 Rounding out the division, the sporty G20 posted sales of 1,112 units.
    
Overall, the Infiniti division reported a 17.6 percent decline versus last
year.  Nissan North America, Inc. combined sales for August, including Nissan
and Infiniti divisions, totaled 59,075 units, a 15.7 decrease versus last
year.

throughout North America and offers a range of luxury vehicles including the
Infiniti QX4 luxury Sport Utility Vehicles, G20 sports sedan, I30 luxury
