Project Management Pioneer to Deliver Keynote Address At Project Management Institute Seminar and Symposium

to kick off event

    DETROIT, Sept. 4 Bill Stewart, former project manager for
President Ronald Reagan's Grace Commission, will deliver the keynote address
at the Project Management Institute, Great Lakes Chapter (PMI, GLC) Fall
Seminar and Symposium September 27-29 at Lawrence Technological University.  A
host of top industry experts and consultants will also conduct training
sessions during the three-day event.
    With more than 30 years of project management experience, Stewart,
president of Project Management Leadership Group, Inc., is a pioneer of the
Project Office concept and has led successful programs for many Fortune 100
corporations.  Recently, Stewart was a featured panelist on CNBC's the Next
Wave with Leonard Nimoy.  Stewart's presentation, "You Cannot Cross a Chasm in
Two Bounds" provides techniques for moving to a project management culture.
    "Bill Stewart is one of the true project management industry giants," said
John Green, PMI, GLC president.  "His address will give our attendees
excellent insights into the many challenges and opportunities our clients and
our industry face in this time of change."
    Training seminars on September 27-28 will be hosted by leading experts
including Bill Moylan, a project management consultant with WA Moylan &
Associates and Dr. Jimmie West, an internationally recognized consultant and
trainer for PM Solutions.  Moylan's seminar, "Project Management for the IT
Professional," is based on his experience with a variety of clients.  Dr. West
will discuss "Project Office/Program Management Office Development and
Implementation."
    Rita Mulcahy, an internationally recognized expert in advanced project
management, will give the mid-day address at the September 29 Symposium --
"What Makes a Project Manager Successful?"  Mulcahy is the author of two
prominent training books including, Project Management for the Business
Professional.  In addition, she has over $2.5 billion worth of hands-on
experience in IS, IT, engineering, services, construction and other industry
projects.
