Z3 Homecoming Celebrates Fifth Anniversary in Record Fashion

    SPARTANBURG, S.C., Sept. 4 A record crowd of 510 BMW Z3
owners and their roadsters -- 33 of which have participated in the annual
event since its beginning in 1997 -- converged on Upstate S.C. and BMW
Manufacturing Corp. (the only plant in the world that produces the Z3) to
celebrate the Fifth Anniversary of Z3 Homecoming.

They came from all over -- from the cobblestone streets of the United Kingdom to the rural landscape of Alaska -- to spend Labor Day weekend in a festive environment with fellow BMW Z3 owners.

BMW Manufacturing Corp. treated participants to plant tours, driver skills courses, seminars and technical clinics, coupled with fellowship and good ole' southern hospitality.

"We look forward to this every year," one participant said. "With the friendships we've made and the hospitality that BMW shows us, we plan on coming every year."
