Macsteel Service Centers USA Roseville Facility Earns QS 9000 Registration

    CHICAGO, Sept. 4 Macsteel Service Centers USA Inc.,
through its wholly owned subsidiary Edgcomb Metals Company announced today
that its Roseville, Michigan facility has been granted QS 9000 Registration
from Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL).
    The registration affirms that Edgcomb's Roseville, Michigan facility
processes and procedures used in flat rolled processing meet quality
requirements jointly developed by the nation's top three automakers.  The
Roseville facility earned its ISO 9002 registration from UL in 1998.

General Manager for Edgcomb's Roseville plant.  "All of our customers have
high quality demands and this certification reaffirms our commitment as a

    The Roseville, Michigan facility specializes in slitting, cut-to-length
blanking, and tension leveling and additionally operates a two-sided embossing
line and a 2000-ton hydraulic forming press.  The plant supplies carbon,
stainless and aluminum sheet and coil products for the automotive, appliance,
food service, furniture, construction and general metals industries.
