Michael Andretti, Car No. 39, Motorola/Honda-Reynard

"It was a great run today. We were able to get some more points and stay out of trouble. It was a tough race today, after the yellows it was pretty slippery and took awhile for the cars to come in so it was tricky. It was a race of patience today and we were able to keep our nose clean, in fact there's not a mark on the car and Team Motorola did a great job in the pits. We're right where we want to be in the championship hunt, right in the middle of things. We have six races to go, if we can keep chipp ing away at it we'll be alright."

  • Finished: 3rd
  • Started: 11th
  • Status: Running
  • Laps Completed: 98 of 98 *timed event
  • Points Earned: 14 for 103 total in the CART FedEx Championship

Kim Green, General Manager

"We came here wanting to qualify well and score points and have a heads up race and I think we achieved that today. There were a lot of things going on today on the track and Michael kept his nose clean and kept focused and the results showed that effort. Hats off to the engineers on fuel strategy, I think we did a good job there today. We did what we had to do which was get points and we're solidly in the hunt for that championship now."
