Michael Andretti, No. 39 Motorola/Honda-Reynard

"We rolled out this morning in really good shape and I was pretty happy with the car but this afternoon we made some changes and really just lost our direction. The car definitely isn't as good as it could be and we need to go back and figure out why. I' m confident that we'll get the car sorted out and I've always liked Vancouver so we'll see what tomorrow brings for qualifying."

  • Time: 62.450 seconds/ 102.668 mph
  • Position: 14th

Kim Green, General Manager

"After this mornings session I think we had a reasonable race car but this afternoon we lost our direction a bit. We were trying some things this afternoon to make a better car for the race and I now think we need to go back and take a look at what things worked and what things didn't work. Initially, Michael was very comfortable with the car and I think with our engineering groups we can get back to a car that can run up front this weekend and be comfortable for Michael."
