CENTENNIAL, Colo.-The Sports Car Club of America announced today that Jaime Palermo has been promoted to Manager of its Club Racing Department.

Palermo started with the United States Road Racing Championship, an SCCA Pro Racing subsidiary, in June 1998. She moved to the Club Racing division a year later as an administrative assistant, where her duties included sanctioning and the SCCA Valvoline Runoffs(r)-one of the leading road racing competitions in the world held September 17-23 at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, in Lexington, Ohio.

"I am very confident in Jamie's ability to continue to make the SCCA Valvoline Runoffs a success," said Patc Henry, Director of Club Racing. "This position is a direct result of her commitment and dedication to Club Racing."

Working under Henry, Palermo will take over the majority of Club Racing responsibilities at the Runoffs and will oversee Club Racing's in-house daily activities.
