125 Kids, including Seven from the Make-A-Wish Foundation® will be Instructed on how to Hit, Field and Run the Bases Under the Guidance of the NY Mets
FLUSHING, New York - General Motors' Chevrolet division aims to bring smiles to the faces of over 100 very special children, including seven from the Make-A-Wish Foundation, by teaming with the New York Mets for a special youth baseball clinic on Sunday, September 2.
Mets players and a coach will instruct the kids, ranging in age from 8-14, on how to improve their hitting, fielding and base running during the two-hour clinic at Shea Stadium. The kids and their families will also be guests following the clinic for "Chevy Hot Wheels Day," as the Mets take on the Florida Marlins at 1:10 p.m.
"Teaming with the New York Mets to bring this unique opportunity to this many children is very exciting for Chevrolet," said John Konkel, regional marketing manager for Chevrolet in the Northeast. "We are especially proud to have seven very special youngsters from the Make-A-Wish Foundation join in this unforgettable day of baseball and fun."
