Benteler Automotive Appoints New Director of Marketing
AUBURN HILLS, Mich. Aug. 31 Benteler Automotive, Inc. has appointed Donald Luby as the company's director of marketing for North American Operations. In this position, he will be responsible for directing the company's North American strategic marketing, business planning and integrated marketing communications strategy. Luby will report to Chris DeHart, former director of marketing for North American Operations, who has been promoted to head up global marketing at the Benteler Automotive Headquarters in Paderborn, Germany. Luby has more than 10 years of experience in marketing, sales and strategic planning, specializing in the automotive industry. He comes to Benteler Automotive from TI Automotive (Auburn Hills, Mich.), where he served as commercial director for the company's General Motors Corp. account. Luby has also held similar positions with Walbro Corporation and Rockwell Automotive (now ArvinMeritor, Inc.). DeHart said that Luby's extensive automotive sales and marketing experience will help Benteler achieve its aggressive growth plans in the North American market. "Don's knowledge of both OEM and automotive suppliers and their marketing strategies will help support our efforts to be a respected powerhouse in the automotive industry," DeHart added. "We're excited to add him to our growing marketing organization." Luby holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and a master's of business administration, with a concentration in marketing, from the University of Michigan.
