NASCAR WCUP: Jeff Gordon to be on 'Who Wants to be a Millionaire'

HARRISBURG, N.C. - Jeff Gordon is in the hot seat in the chase for the 2001 Winston Cup championship. During the week of September 10, Gordon will once again be in the "hot seat" – as a contestant on the Sports Superstars edition of "Who Wants to be a Millionaire."

Gordon, driver of the DuPont Chevrolet, and nine other superstars attempted to win $1 million for the charity of their choice. Gordon played for the Jeff Gordon Foundation which benefits many charities including the Make-A-Wish Foundation, The Marrow Foundation, Riley Hospital for Children (Indianapolis, Ind.) and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Also appearing on the shows are Charles Barkley, Jim Courier, John Elway, Steve Young, Johnny Bench, Martina Navratilova, Laila Ali, Tony Hawk and Carl Lewis. The first show is scheduled for September 10, at 8 p.m on ABC.

Gordon will also appear on "Live with Regis and Kelly" on September 3. Gordon's segment of the Labor Day show was pre-taped. Please check local listings for time and channel.
