Natural Solutions' Next Generation of Ice Ban Receiving Wide Acceptance

CHESAPEAKE, Va.--Aug. 30, 2001--Natural Solutions Corporation's (OTC BB: ICEB) Vice President of Sales and Product Development, Craig Phelps, announced today that the Company's line of Ice Ban(R) products are receiving wide acceptance by leaders in the snow and ice control industry.
Mr. Phelps stated: "Introduced at the APWA Snow Show in Indianapolis last April, the word on the street is that Natural Solutions Corporation has once again raised the bar for winter maintenance technology across the nation. The next generation of the patented products are appropriately named Ice Ban Summit(TM), Ice Ban Performance Plus(TM), and Ice Ban Ultra(TM)."
Ice Ban Summit is the name for our reengineered M-50 product that started the revolution in environmentally friendly anti-icing and deicing products in 1996. Having a lighter color than previous formulations and less viscosity makes Summit incredibly easy to work with. Independent testing shows Summit to be 13% less corrosive than distilled water! Yet, it continues to perform well as a stockpile treatment, with a residual re-activation effect. Summit has a freeze point of -47(Degrees)F and has been a favorite of industry professionals since our inception. This Ice Ban blend provides our greatest reduction of chloride accumulation in the environment and is one of the most biodegradable products on the market.
Ice Ban Performance Plus has been engineered in response to increasing environmental needs by highway professionals. The evolution of environmental standards in our industry has been led by the Pacific Northwest Snowfighters (PNS) and the American Association of State Highway Transportation Officials (AASHTO). Performance Plus meets the strictest of these environmental standards, outperforming its competitors in several key areas. Its "iced tea" color, light odor, and low viscosity have been very appealing to our users. Performance Plus has an extremely low freeze point of -78(Degrees)F and corrosion level 92% less than sodium chloride. Independent friction testing has shown this product to be among the best performing products tested. Having a product that can be used for stockpile treatment or direct spray applications, while meeting PNS and AASHTO standards has generated a great deal of excitement among our existing and growing customer base.
Ice Ban Ultra goes "above and beyond" in its service to the winter highway maintenance professionals across the nation. Many end users are faced with sensitive watershed concerns for accumulated chlorides, phosphorus, and biochemical oxygen demand (BOD). Ice Ban Ultra has been engineered for that perfect combination of performance and environmental sensitivity. Of course, Ice Ban Ultra meets PNS & AASHTO. Having a freeze point of -67(Degrees)F, corrosion rates 83% below rock salt, non-detectable phosphorus, and extremely low BODs, Ice Ban Ultra is just the tool needed by winter maintenance professionals working around lakes, waterways, and reservoirs. Independent friction testing has also shown this product to be among the best performing products tested.
Mr. Phelps continued: "As momentum gathers for the Ice Ban product line, the Natural Solutions staff members have been the recurring guests of prominent snow fighting organizations across the United States. In July we met with nearly 80 end users from Wisconsin to Wyoming at the Envirotech Services preseason conference. At one meeting, we met with nearly 200 State of Colorado officials for a technical presentation. We are pleased to say that the response was enthusiastic, because of the high degree of independent testing, ease of use, and improved snow & ice melting performance.
In subsequent weeks, our team has continued to meet with highway officials and maintenance professionals, including meetings in Washington, Idaho, Arizona, Iowa, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, and many more.
In August, Ice Ban Ultra has was presented to New York State's Assistant Attorney General, James M. Tierney, to address heightened concerns over phosphorus loading in the sensitive New York City reservoir systems. Mr. Tierney stated that "Ice Ban Ultra could become a key component in maintaining levels of service to residents while contributing to the environmental safety of the reservoir systems, which provides drinking water to 9 million residents of New York."
Lowell W. Morse, President of Natural Solutions, added: "As a result of this momentum, Natural Solutions has gained several new customers for this coming winter season. Since June, the Company has signed distributor and supply agreements with several snow fighting businesses. Among those new customers is Bare Ground Solution. Beginning this month, Ice Ban products will be marketed through retail outlets under the trade name Bare Ground Solution. Since 1998, Bare Ground has been a leading innovator in liquid ice melting products through catalogs, direct response advertising, and retail stores.
We are also proud to say that International Salt Company, one of the most recognized salt companies in North America, has committed to use Ice Ban as their exclusive salt pre-treatment liquid for the next five years. With the increasing use of corrosion reduction products and melting performance enhancers, rock salt pretreated with Ice Ban is a tremendous value-added product to meet the market's expanding needs for environmentally friendly anti-icers and deicers.
In recent weeks, Natural Solutions has teamed up with Reilly Industries, a leading producer of magnesium chloride in North America. As part of an arrangement, which compliments both companies, Reilly will supply us with its high quality magnesium chloride and we will sell our patented Ice Ban products through Reilly's national network of distributors.
Others have joined forces with Natural Solutions including a growing movement of winter maintenance contractors serving shopping, malls, corporate parks, educational institutions, among others.
Mr. Phelps concluded: "As you can see, the Ice Ban revolution is continuing. Having pioneered the environmentally friendly snow and ice control industry, Natural Solutions has continued to provide cutting edge innovation to solve winter maintenance problems faced by our customers."
Natural Solutions Corporation has the exclusive rights to distribute Ice Ban(R) anti-icing and deicing products in the United States.
