Andrew Signs Agreement to Supply Ericsson with Integrated Antennas for MINI-LINK High-Performance Transmission Systems

    ORLAND PARK, Ill.--Aug. 30, 2001--Andrew Corporation signed a two-year antenna manufacturing agreement with Ericsson Microwave Systems AB. Andrew will be one of the manufacturers and suppliers of integrated antennas - as well as Andrew ValuLine(R) antennas - for use in Ericsson's MINI-LINK(TM) point-to-point microwave solutions. Ericsson MINI-LINK systems are used for backhaul in wireless communications networks and are designed to meet the worldwide trend towards more cost-efficient and high-density networks.
    "MINI-LINK transmission systems have a great industry reputation, and this new agreement is a significant milestone in our relationship with Ericsson," said Paul Cox, Group President, Communication Products, Andrew Corporation.
    Andrew manufactures integrated and ValuLine antennas at its facilities in Campbellfield, Australia; Sorocaba, Brazil; Suzhou, China; Lochgelly, Scotland; and Denton, Texas, USA. The first Ericsson antenna orders will be shipped from Brazil, China, and Scotland, in October 2001.
