UGN, Inc. Names Miles Plant Manager
CHICAGO, Aug. 30 Susan Miles was named plant manager of UGN's Chicago facility, according to Ken Franklin, UGN's vice president of operations. In this position, Miles oversees all manufacturing functions and operations at this facility. Prior to joining UGN, Miles worked for Resinoid Engineering Corporation in Skokie, Ill. She served as plant manager, responsible for facility operations and leading a turnaround in safety, quality, productivity, delivery and customer satisfaction. Prior to Resinoid Engineering Corp., Miles worked for Inland Steel Company Indiana Harbor Works for more than 15 years. "Susan adds a lot of value to UGN," said Franklin. "Her team guidance and project management skills combined with her knowledge and expertise in the manufacturing industry will help UGN provide complete customer satisfaction." Miles holds a bachelor's of science degree in chemistry from Western Illinois University. She is a member of the Society of Plastic Engineers and the American Iron and Steel Institute. Miles is also certified by the American Chemical Society.
