Exhibit Enterprises, Inc. (EEI) Puts Dodge Information at Major Auto Shows 'In the Palm of Your Hand'

    And Even Pricing Information are Beamed to Palm Pilots and Pocket PCs;
            Palm Pilot and Pocket PC Presentation Wins SEGD Award;
'One less piece of paper to carry,' said one attendee

DEARBORN, Mich., Aug. 29 As in previous years, millions of
people were fascinated by the high-tech Dodge displays built by Exhibit
Enterprises, Inc. (EEI) at major North American auto shows.
But this year there was something new. EEI arranged for show attendees
who wanted additional information about the latest Dodge products to get it
right on their Palm Pilots and Pocket PCs. They could download an electronic
Dodge catalog with price information via a wireless interface technology.
They could then "beam" this information to the Palm Pilots and Pocket PCs of
their associates, friends and neighbors.
EEI worked with Palmtop Publishing, of Seattle, to design and produce a
Dodge product catalog for handheld computers and made it available at several
'beaming stations' located at the shows' information areas, according to
Patrick Fleming, DaimlerChrysler account director at EEI. This made Dodge's
information available in a new, user-friendly format. It also gave visitors
one more reason for visiting the Dodge exhibit.
"The application is quite impressive, since many handheld computers are
sophisticated enough to show off the Dodge line in high-resolution, vivid
color," said Fleming. "We even include a floorplan of each show and a section
on the NASCAR Winston Cup Series."
"Dodge marketers were savvy enough to perceive the increasing role of
personal digital assistants (PDAs) and handheld computers in organizing and
sharing information, and wanted us to take advantage of it at major auto shows
this year," he added. "We are certain that this kind of 'viral' marketing,
though not always easy to measure at this time, is becoming an increasingly
important force in the marketplace. By making the information available on
handheld computers we helped Dodge communicate with people using their daily
tools."
"The comments at the show were spectacular!" said Trina Clickner,
president of Palmtop Publishing, the company that crafted the programs for the
Palm Pilots and Pocket PCs. "Attendees thanked us for making the information
available on their PDAs and 'giving them one less piece of paper to carry.'
Plus, they could share it with their friends without having to give away the
original."
The application was so novel that it won the prestigious 2001 Jurors Award
from SEGD, the Society for Environmental Graphic Design, to be presented at
that organization's annual conference in Miami, May 30 through June 2.
Environmental graphic design (EGD) is a diverse field that includes the
planning, design and specifying of graphic elements in the built and natural
environment.
