International Playing Field Leveled at "Auto-Tech 2001"

DETROIT--Aug. 29, 2001--Sophim, Inc. (http://www.unedifact.com) of Clearwater, Florida, officially launched EDIFACT Prime(TM), a breakthrough EDI software program, at the automotive industry's "Auto-Tech 2001" show in Detroit, today. Because of its low cost and high functionality, companies that once could not afford to transact using the EDI standards demanded by GM, Ford, Chrysler and other auto-industry leaders, can now compete with larger suppliers.
The implications of an affordable and sophisticated EDI solution are so far-reaching that Jessie Alderson, president of Alderson and Associates, an EDI consulting firm, announced his company's alliance with Sophim. "EDIFACT Prime is the single-most important EDI development I've seen in a very long time," said Alderson, a 30-year EDI expert and respected lecturer.
According to Alderson, a product like EDIFACT Prime will change how the auto industry uses EDI. "In today's competitive global marketplace, companies need to capitalize on any tool that gives them an edge," said Alderson. "After a thorough investigation, I'm convinced that EDIFACT Prime is one such tool. It delivers outstanding performance and is cost-effective for all organizations," he added.
Based on UN/EDIFACT standards, developed by the United Nations, and familiar MS Windows(TM) technology, EDIFACT Prime simplifies and expedites the exchange of electronic business messages.
Auto-Tech 2001 attendees can visit Sophim at booth No. 840 to view a brief demonstration and receive a free CD-version of the software; non-attendees may download it at www.unedifact.com.
