Xavier Dominicis to Oversee Toyota Corporate Contributions and Toyota USA Foundation

    TORRANCE, Calif.--Aug. 28, 2001--Toyota Motor Sales (TMS) USA Inc. has selected Xavier Dominicis to oversee the company's national corporate contributions program and the Toyota USA Foundation.
    As national manager, corporate contributions and Toyota USA Foundation, Dominicis will be responsible for the administration of TMS $10.6 million national corporate contributions program, including community relations and corporate volunteer activities.
    TMS focuses its corporate giving program in the area of education, supporting various nonprofits whose fundamental goals are to provide services that better the lives of all members of society.
    Dominicis also will oversee the day-to-day activities of the Toyota USA Foundation, which provides funding exclusively for pre-collegiate education programs with an emphasis on improving the teaching and learning of mathematics and science. Currently endowed at $37.6 million, the foundation makes $1.9 million in grants annually.
    Most recently, Dominicis served as TMS Southeast Public Affairs Manager, where he managed media communications with local-area print and broadcast journalists.
    Prior to joining Toyota, he was the Public Affairs Director for Miami Motorsports Inc.
    Dominicis holds a B.S.B.A. degree from the University of Florida and resides in Redondo Beach, Calif., with his wife and son.
