Kari Groh Named GM - Global Logistics and Customer Service at
Timken
CANTON, Ohio, Aug. 28 The Timken Company
recently announced that Kari Groh has been named general manager - global
logistics and customer service. In her new role, Ms. Groh is responsible for
the strategic planning and implementation of logistics as well as the
management of Timken's customer service and inside sales teams, both for the
industrial distribution management group worldwide.
A 26-year employee with The Timken Company, Ms. Groh served most recently
as global manager - inside sales and customer services. In that position, she
led Timken efforts in transforming customer services into an integrated,
value-added service for industrial distributors.
"Kari brings a wealth of talent to our industrial aftermarket business,"
said Dan Muller, vice president - distribution management. "She brings an
impressive track record in planning, organizing, team building, and
communicating. These abilities are absolutely critical to sustaining an
efficient and profitable logistics operation within a global marketplace."
A native of Stark County, Ms. Groh holds both a Bachelor of Arts degree in
communications from The University of Akron and a Master of Business
Administration degree in executive management from Ashland University.
Ms. Groh joined the company in 1975 while attending The University of
Akron. She subsequently held a number of positions in the communications area,
including manager - corporate and marketing communications. In 1995, Ms. Groh
was named general manager - inside sales - industrial aftermarket distribution
before assuming the duties of her most recent position.
