NASCAR Trucks: Nazareth chassis notes

17 RICKY HENDRICK, NO. 17 GMAC SILVERADO. T-Rex1. This Hendrick chassis competed in four races this season: Indianapolis (11th), Memphis (7th), Pikes Peak (5th) and Homestead (5th).

20 COY GIBBS, NO. 20 MBNA SILVERADO. No. 08. Drop-snout Silverado, new in Chicago. Tested in Nashville before Chicago. In Chicago, Gibbs finished 23rd, then received post-race damage after being hit in the door. "We put a whole right side on it," said crew chief Gary Showalter. "It¹s a pretty good truck. Hopefully it¹s fast here."

24 JACK SPRAGUE, NO. 24 NETZERO PLATINUM SILVERADO. "Bud Light." This Hendrick chassis competed three previous times this year: Dover (qualified 7th, finished 2nd), Milwaukee (1st/2nd), New Hampshire (1st/1st).

46 DENNIS SETZER, NO. 46 ACXIOM/COMPUTER ASSOCIATES SILVERADO. Brand-new in Chicago; finished 2nd. "Timmy" is named after a "South Park" character. All Morgan-Dollar Silverados are named after South Park characters, including Kenny, Timmy, Cartman and Mr. Hankey. It was tested at Nashville Superspeedway in preparation for the Chicago event.

60 TRAVIS KVAPIL, NO. 60 CAT RENTAL STORES SILVERADO. No. 004. Sat on the pole in California in ¹98 and ¹99. Ran this year at Bakersfield (11th), Dover (10th) and Memphis (12th). "It¹s one of our oldest trucks," said crew chief Rick Ren. "It used to be our only speedway truck. We kind of converted it to a short-track truck because it¹s getting pretty old. It¹s been a really good truck for us. It always has a solid run."

75 BILLY BIGLEY, NO. 75 SPEARS MANUFACTURING SILVERADO. Brand-new truck in Nashville; also rain in Chicago. Had motor problems in both races. "It¹s had two broken motors, so it hasn¹t got a race on it yet," said crew chief Mark Blessing. "Let¹s see if we can finish one here. It¹s a good truck. It handles real good, but it¹s had little motor problems. We have that fixed this week." It¹s "Earl¹s" brother. Earl is named after the Dixie Chicks¹ song, "Goodbye Earl."

88 MATT CRAFTON, NO. 88 FASTTRACK DRIVEWAY SEALER SILVERADO. No. 08. "Buster." It¹s the first Silverado Matt got into, at Las Vegas testing in 2000. It was a top-10 Silverado until last week in Chicago: Ran Milwaukee (9th), Martinsville (6th), Gateway (7th) New Hampshire (10th), Indianapolis (7th), Chicago (26th). "It¹s been a good truck for him. He likes it," says crew chief Jerry Cook.

90 LANCE NORICK, NO. 90 AVENTIS BEHRING CHOICE SILVERADO. "High Boy." Norick had his highest finish of his career in High Boy in Chicago last week (3rd). Prior to Chicago, it last raced at Nashville where Norick qualified 11th and finished 9th. Also raced in Dover.
