ADVISORY/Payless Car Rental Opens Three South Florida Franchise Locations

    ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.--Aug. 24, 2001--Payless Car Rental Systems, Inc. announced today the opening of three South Florida franchise locations in Miami International Airport, Miami Beach, and Ft.Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport. The franchise openings are part of Payless Car Rental's aggressive development plan to double the number of Worldwide franchise locations by the end of 2002.
    Franchisee owners of the three Payless locations are Mauro and Serina Olivieri who have over 15 years experience in the car rental industry operating as Alba Rent-A-Car. They will open a fourth Payless location in Ft. Myers, Florida in the fall.

    The Payless fleet consists of model year 2000 and 2001, low mileage vehicles ranging from a compact Ford Escort to a sporty Corvette convertible. Unique to these three locations is the availability of luxury cars including BMW, Lexus, Porsche, and Mercedes. Sport utility vehicles, cargo vans and 16 passenger vans are also available.
    To service customers arriving at the airport, a shuttle to the Payless counter located on airport grounds is available. Payless will deliver cars directly to a customer at their hotel or business. A multilingual staff is available to assist international travelers.
    To commemorate the 30th anniversary of Payless Car Rental, a special daily rate of $30 on mid-size cars is available for a limited time at participating locations.
